Detailed Itinerary

Overview: This tour is designed to cover Tawang Festival in Arunachal Pradesh along the exotic attractions of Tawang Circuit. Here, you will get the opportunity to witness the vibrant festivity and monastic dances (Dragon, Lion, Yak etc.) by the Monpa tribe of Arunachal. You will also have the opportunity to cover the pristine beauty of the Northern Himalayan foothills, mountain pass, lakes, monasteries and the age-old surviving culture.

Day 01: Oct 24th | Guwahati – Bomdila

Depart from Guwahati to Bomdila (around 08 hours) via Tipi Orchid Research Centre. Overnight at Bomdila hotel/guesthouse.

Day 02: Oct 25th | Bomdila – Tawang

After visiting Bomdila monastery, depart for Tawang (around 07 hours) via Dirang, Sela Pass and Nuranong (Jung) waterfalls. Overnight at Tawang hotel/guesthouse/homestay.

Day 03: Oct 26th | Tawang Tour

Morning visit the festival ground and enjoy the opening ceremony. Later afternoon, visit the Tawang Monastery which is the world's second largest monastery. Evening e joy the cultural programme and overnight at Tawang.

Day 04: Oct 27th | Tawang Local Tour

Morning explore the nearby areas and explore the Tawang local market and restaurants. Experience, the Himalayan food. Second half, visit the festival and overnight at Tawang.

Day 05: Oct 28th | Full Day Tawang Sightseeing

Post breakfast, go for a full day excursion to Bum La Pass (subject to permits) and Sangetsar (Maduri) Lake. Later afternoon, visit the festival ground and overnight at Tawang.

Day 06: Oct 29th | Enjoy Festival and Explore Nearby villages

Full day at the festival to witness the grand ceremonies on the last day or also you can explore the nearby villages for a half day. Overnight at Tawang.

Day 07: Oct 30th | Tawang – Dirang

Post breakfast, start your return journey to Dirang (around 05-06 hours) and explore Dirang attractions like Yak breeding centre, Sheep breeding centre, Apple orchards and Sangti valley if time allows. Overnight options at Sangti valley riverside luxury campsite or Dirang resort.

Day 08: Oct 31st | Nameri

Post breakfast, depart for Nameri (around 05-06 hours) and leisure at eco-camps in Bamboo huts/Tents. If time allows, you can go for a natural walk inside the Nameri Wildlife Sanctuary with forest guards or for a familiarising rafting on Jia Bhoreli river. Evening, bonfire and overnight at eco camp.

Day 09: Nov 1st | Nameri – Guwahati

Check out and depart for Guwahati and drop at the airport or to your next destination and tour ends.
